Mineral Freeform Lens are divided into Aberration optimized, astigmatism-optimizing and aesthetic-thinning zones according to the need for refinement of the wearer's function. Emphasis is placed on off-axis aberration correction in the zone within the 25 degree field of view, and on astigmatism optimization in the zone of the 25-35 degree field of view of the half aperture, where astigmatism relative to the optical centre at each point of the lens increases to a certain degree, and where astigmatism varies by roughly 70-78% of the value of the average change in optical focal length.
